Carbon-fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP) is an extremely strong and very durable material which is applied externally to strengthen concrete structures without the need to demolish and replace the existing structure such as concrete beams, suspended slabs and structural columns.
CFRP based solutions consist of CFRP plates and rods, plus structural epoxy resin based adhesives. These systems are widely used for flexural strengthening of dynamically and statistically loaded buildings and other structures such as bridges, ceilings and walls, providing outstanding long-term durability in service.
